(NC)-I can shut my eyes and see Greece and remember our honeymoon: Two weeks of romance and memories that will last a lifetime. The magic started at the famous Grande Bretagne Hotel, in Athens, where history was made in the bar. We could walk to the Acropolis or sit sipping Ouzo and looking at Constitution Square. Athens may be the cradle of civilization but it has a thoroughly modern present. Reluctantly, we left to explore breathtaking beaches, medieval castles, whitewashed villages, and fairy tale harbours. There were sunny days wandering ancient streets and hours in tavernas people watching.

The easiest way to plan your trip is to visit your travel agent and pick up Nolitours’ Glorious Greece brochure. And do it now so you’ll save up to $400 and receive 50% savings on dinner and a sunset tour in Cape Sounion. Nolitours has become famous for its Glorious Greece program, simply because of the choices and the prices. My pal Ann prefers to be part of a group. She chose the Fabled Places itinerary and spent four days on the Classical Coach Tour, three days on the Greek Island and Turkey cruise, three days in Santorini, three days in Paros and one day in Athens. For our next trip, I want the new Hellenic Shores, seven days on a Greek Island and Turkey cruise and four days exploring Glyfada, a beachside resort town, savouring the Greek culture, and of course at least one day in Athens. Diane and David like to explore on their own, so when they go again this year, they’re going to see special places like the island of Rhodes they so loved last trip. They still talk about riding a donkey up the narrow streets of Lindos, then hopping back on their motor scooters to head back to their hotel to dance the night away. Maybe they’ll visit Crete for a chance to explore the legendary birthplace of Zeus, and of course a chance for Diane to explore the shopping - one of the modern glories of Greece.
